Have you lost hope? Are you fearful about the direction our nation is heading? If so, who or what are YOU putting your faith and trust in? Man or God? Do you know what the nation needs now more than ever is a message of hope? Why? In all honesty, all you have to do is look around you to know the nation is in trouble. Put your fear to rest.

Sweet friends, first and foremost, I share the same frustrations and fears as you. Being a born-again follower of Jesus Christ does not exempt you from “being human.”

Have I lost hope due to the circumstances of the “world?” Absolutely not! I know where and to whom my hope is found. I can tell you it is NOT in this world, nor is it in any individual or politician. My hope is in Heaven.

Have You Lost Hope? Do You Know Where To Find It?

In times of uncertainty, it can be easy to allow fear, anxiety, or worry to govern how you feel. You get endless, mass reports from the news, social media, and the people you talk to, which compounds your fears, right?

What do you think about what’s taken place in the last year alone? I’d LOVE to know your thoughts. In my heart and spirit, I truly believe we are living in the last days.

Does this frighten you about where you stand with God? If so, what concerns and fears are you allowing room in your heart and mind?

To be clear, our nation is seeking a drastic change as soon as January 1, 2021, rolls around, right? Like somehow we’d press a magic button where we can leave the troubles of 2021 behind. Now the issues continue in 2022.

Sorry to state the obvious, but this didn’t happen. The world as we know it is a dark place, and it seems to be getting darker. According to God’s word, it’s gonna get much worse before it gets better. So how do we move forward?

The Bible And the Promises in God’s Word

Right here, right now, you can find hope in the promises of God. The message of hope is sharing the good news of the gospel so the world knows where to find hope in uncertain times such as what we are going through now. With this in mind, Jesus said…

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

For instance, look at the heartbreaking events that took place in Washington DC, and don’t even get me started on COVID-19.

With all the news reports, social media, and people making judgments based on misinformation it’s enough to make you bury your head in the sand, and become a hermit, right?

Your Hope Is Not Found In Political Leadership

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I hold fast to the Bible states on the gospel about hope! However, fear is rampant among people, even Christians. I know we can learn to overcome fear biblically. Right now, however, many are left questioning the following:

• What will happen to our country under new leadership?
• What will happen when our leadership is opposed to what the Word of God teaches? 
• Will we still be able to worship freely?
• Will we be able to attend church and fellowship with other believers?

Is your hope Found In Christ Alone?

Instead of being fearful, you must let your faith in Jesus Christ guide your steps and direct your paths. You have to look to the promises found in the scriptures to increase your faith and trust in the Lord’s provision to protect and guide you.

In all honesty, in my opinion, it’s the domino effect of the scriptures taking place before our eyes.

You can get through the insurmountable wall before you, as long as you turn to the Lord and let Him lead you. You must overcome the spirit of fear with God’s peace. Do you know fear is the opposite of faith? What does the Bible say about fear?

Scripture states the following about hope…

When I am afraid, I put my trust in YOU. Psalm 56:3

But remember this, the Bible tells you to not worry, but to pray with thanksgiving and you shall find the peace you need in Jesus.

Do NOT be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Believing God’s promises, and knowing He hears your prayers is what brings you peace and calms your mind. This, in turn, quiets your fears, calms your heart and mind, and increases your faith.

A Message of Hope Found In The Bible

God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things in times of trouble. For instance, Elijah was an ordinary man, a prophet, and God used him in mighty ways.

Elijah suffered from depression at times, but Elijah kept praying and put His faith and trust in God and His prayers were answered.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months, it did not rain on the earth. James 5:17

Then he prayed again, and Heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. James 5:18

Find Hope through Prayer

How does Elijah’s story relate to what’s happening in the country right now? Simply stated, you MUST be praying for our nation if you want to see a change. Pray with fervency and passion!

Pray specifically God will heal our land and bring unity. Pray with confidence for your family, friends, and those around you in your workplace. Pray for your Pastors and Elders.

Pray for those who are lost and do not know Jesus as their personal savior. Pray specifically Atheists’ hearts be opened to the power of the gospel.

Believe The Gospel’s Greater Than any Political Party

I will put myself on the chopping block so to speak. NEVER could I vote for ANYONE whose beliefs do NOT line up with what the bible says about specific topics either.

Pray For Those In Authority and leadership to follow the Bible’s Standards

Are you aware God’s word states to pray for government officials and leaders? Even if you don’t agree with their morals you ARE called to respect and pray for them.

However, you can most certainly pray for Godly influence to surround them and point them to the truths found in the scriptures and for hearts to be softened and ears to hear. The scriptures below back this up.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for ALL people. 1 Timothy 2:1

For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:2

When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order. Proverbs 28:2

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

For dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations. Psalms 22:28

Pray For A Spiritual Revival

Now, the devil doesn’t want you to pray for a spiritual revival. Satan doesn’t want a spiritual awakening. He only wants to divide and conquer.

May God’s love for you not be divided over race, politics, or other issues to bring division so you miss the BIG PICTURE AND YOUR MOST IMPORTANT CALLING…SHARE THE GOSPEL

Prayer And Preaching will Be Your Spiritual Weapons

What you need to put your time, focus, and energy into is the knowledge of people dying without accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior not debating about things in this world.

God’s people need to wake up and remember the gospel is more important than your preferences and politics. The gospel message of hope is people desperately need and search for answers.

Through him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance. Romans 5:3

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:5

If I could sum up the “TRUE MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR 2021” it would be if you have lost hope…look to Jesus Christ and know without a shadow of a doubt he’s in control of ALL things.

God Never Loses A Battle

One final verse:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Roe vs Wade was overturned and it’s my prayer no more abortions will be legal to perform.
