Being a good steward for Christ is showing happiness and having a childlike joy. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Stewardship in Christianity is doing exactly what 1 Peter 4:10 says. This is how we should approach others, when we share how God has changed us, from the inside out!
Prayers About Stewardship in Christianity
Friends, when you are having your alone time with God do you pray and ask him to use you as a tool to reach the lost broken and hurting people of this world and how we can be a better steward?
I’d love to think that this prayer is a common request to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. God has gifted ALL of us in a number of ways that we can be used to bring Glory to his name.
My Past Outlook on Stewardship in Christianity:
When I was younger I enjoyed singing and leading choir so much, for the simple reason I knew it was changing the hearts of God’s people.
NOT because I proclaimed to have been a professional or anything of the sort but for me, it was a form of worship from ME to my KING with the hope that others would be moved to worship too.
Afterward, when service was over the congregation would seek me out and proceed to share how a particular song would help them in what they were going through.
Y’all, that’s what I call a Holy Spirit moving moment…NOT an Angie thing!Worship speaks to the hearts of God's people. I was just a willing vessel to be used by God however he wanted to do so. Click To Tweet
I’m going to be completely honest in saying I miss that part of my life terribly.
My hearing loss is so drastic now they would probably pay to remove me from the stage.
It was an honor to know that I was making a difference in their lives.
Just knowing that I could help bring someone joy and lift them out of a dark place of despair even for just a moment meant so much to me.
To see the sadness on their face melt away replaced by peace and joy was so rewarding!
Fast forward to present day on Being a good Steward:
For so long I let the things I “use” to be able to do tell me the things I can’t do today.
I thought Ok God the ONE THING I loved doing has been taken from me so now I can’t see myself being used to helping others anymore.
God’s will for our lives will come to pass and we may be prolonging it due to a lack of trust faith or afraid of failing.
So I prayed allowed and said, “God, I want to be used by you again?” “I want YOU to use ME, to help people, in an even larger way.” “I want to show your LOVE in an even bigger way, to those around me, and all over the world.”
I started out using my personal Facebook to encourage others through faith in Jesus Christ.
In my news feed I have seen so much fighting cursing nudity and negativity the etc….the list can go on and on.
I wanted to show how you can have positive and encouraging things and see what a difference it can make.
And that’s exactly what I did
I was getting such great feedback.
I started getting the sense that God was calling me to do more.
Ok, you’re gonna have to make it clear to me what it is you would have me do Lord.
Ask God to reveal something and he does exactly that
I had two friends on the EXACT same day say, “Angie, you should consider doing a blog? “You write thought-provoking content that’s encouraging and inspiring, and will help so many people!” I said, “as a matter of fact, I prayed and asked God, to make it clear to me, if this was his will for me?”
Can you say Bullseye!!
When I started Resounding His Love I had NO IDEA it would grow so much and reach so many.
God is Amazing!!
I took something I used as a source of helping others to become so much more.
It’s a ministry
Not ONLY that but where I work at is another form of ministry.
I get to help those who are deathly sick due to hematology and oncology-related health issues.
Plus I get to decorate my lab area however I want.
Can you guess what I have it centered on? If you said God related material, you’d be one hundred percent correct.
See friends. I am blessed to use my “work time” and my “personal time” as a ministry to demonstrate God’s love by encouraging others in Christ Jesus.
IT”S A WIN WIN!!
Now it’s your turn:
Do you use your life, to reach others for God’s glory in being a good steward?
For me, I thought if I wasn’t able to be on stage anymore and uplift others in music I’d NEVER be used by God again to be a blessing to people.
Maybe like me, you can’t imagine that you could be a blessing to someone else as well.
Not Truth because you can still show stewardship in Christianity!
You can take whatever you’re good at and enjoy and turn that into a way of opening a discussion about your love for God and how he’s changed your life for the better.
It can be in any number of ways with friends, family, and can you say a stranger…GASP!
I’m listing a few below:
- Lunch or shopping
- Door Knocking
- Work out at the gym
- School pickup
- Visiting jails
- School activity
- Craft shows
- Nail salon
- Beauty salon
- Favorite hobby
The sad thing is this:
We’re given MANY opportunities we simply let them pass us by and I’m guilty of this too.
Thoughts on Stewardship in Christianity
Friends, we’re ONLY given ONE shot at life. May we find ways to reach out to help those who desperately need to know, there is a God who longs to show them his goodness!
He’s a God who desperately wants to help them in ANY and EVERY way imaginable!
It can also be someone you know who’s a believer but they’re having a hard time and difficult season and needs someone,7 to be there for them,7 and let them know we care. You and I must do OUR part, and use the life we’ve been given by God to share his unconditional and unfailing love for them.
Living a Christian life is pure Joy.
I Love this video by MercyMe. It’s showing others how God has changed you. The Christian life is a fun-filled life, not a boring one!
Proclaim it and shout it from the rooftops!
The Afters song is what this post is all about.
We are here for the sole purpose of giving glory and honor to God and share freedom is found in him through stewardship in Christianity!
