In my opinion, God is the answer to ANY problem, challenge, or greatest need that comes our way. You and I can choose to place our hope in personal freedom, money, or sex, thinking any of these will truly satisfy us.

It’s a true assumption these tangible things may satisfy us for a little while, but they will always fall miserably short and lack in comparison to the hope found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

How Can You Explain Hope?

When we follow the truths in God’s word on what does the bible say about hope, we can’t go wrong right?

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to circumstances in one’s life or the world at large.

How Does the World View Hope?

The world sees hope as things they would like for personal gain. To put it another way, the worldly view of hope is describing feelings about things desired or perhaps wanted. It can also be referenced as wishful thinking.

If you’re viewing hope in this way, “seeing things will eventually become better,” or “one day I will receive what I truly want,” is it any wonder the world lives in such a state of hopelessness?

Friends, there are so many bible verses about hope to encourage us. Hope encourages and strengthens believers in Christ. Hope causes us to rejoice.

“Through [Jesus] we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in hope of the glory of God.” 

Not only this but hope encourages us to share our faith and offer the same hope to those who do not know Christ as Savior.

Without hope, godly living is impossible. The Christian life is impossible without hope. It cannot be done. We must have hope if we are to pursue righteous living.

  3. I love this post Angie! I have learned through the years that I need to put all the weight of my hope onto Jesus alone. I was putting it into people and circumstances that could be touched by just changes in life or the enemy himself. My hope is now solidly on the person of Jesus Himself. I wish I had done that sooner in life and saved myself so much heartache, disappointment and dashed dreams that were my dreams and not God’s dreams (or His best) for me. Thank you for encouraging my heart today… ❤
