What Are Unexpected Blessings from God?
I don’t know about you but I have always been a get-it-done don’t ask of help kinda girl. However, that can be a bad thing sometimes and can also be labeled as a pride thing. OUCH! I don’t particularly like asking others to help because I’m a little OCD.
For quite some time now I feel God tugging on my heart and soul to do more with my website and Facebook page. Reach further than I EVER thought possible.
However, in my human thinking and ability, I don’t see how this can be. It takes both time and resources that I don’t really have available.
I say to the Lord, “Father I know many who are by far more qualified than I am!” I’m just a nobody from Kentucky now living in North Carolina. Who wants to hear what I have to say?
I sure do NOT look or speak eloquently nor do I have a degree and that probably shows in my writing. However, sometimes God gives us God-given opportunities that we just cannot say no to!
Unexpected Blessings Through The Story Of Moses
I wonder if this was how Moses felt when God placed more on him than what he assumed he was capable of doing. And when God spoke to him by fire in the burning bush…Can you say equal parts scary and impressive?
I’m not sugar coat it. I’d be more than a little freaked out myself! However, when I reflect on all the things he accomplished (not of himself, but by the power of God) even he doubted he wasn’t the right individual to fulfill the shoes God wanted him to fill.
God used Moses in freeing his people in a mighty way when Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go by plaguing the land.
What are The 10 Plagues God Sent To Pharaoh To Set The Israelites Free?

How Did God Provide For Israelites?
- They crossed the Red Sea onto dry ground.
- What would that have been like to witness, right?
- Receiving manna from Heaven and water from a rock when there was none.
We grumble when we run out of bread don’t we?
- God instructed Moses on Mount Sinai to carve the Ten Commandments into stone.
Can you imagine how long that took? By hand no less? The Unexpected Blessings God gave to Moses could continue.
However, I wanted to make a point in recalling how God used just a mere man. If God can use Moses in a way he never imagined possible who are we to say that God can or can’t use you right? God wants to use you!
That is why God is God and we aren’t! His thoughts are greater than your thoughts and his ways are higher than your ways.
Your sole purpose on this earth is to be USED by God and share the hope found in the gospel and make disciples of ALL nations. In doing this God receives Glory to his name that he alone is so worthy of receiving!
I want to share with you what God has placed on my heart. I’ve been in prayer for God to use me however he chooses to do so.
I’ve also prayed for him to give me an insatiable hunger to reach the lost people of this world. Let me tell you something.
What Does God say About Be Careful What You Pray for?
Be careful what you pray for because God can and will make it happen. I’ve been praying for ways that I can get more interaction on my website.
I want:
- Lives changed
- Burdens released
- Guilt removed
- Hearts made new and set FREE!
I do small posts on my Facebook page but my larger posts are on my blog site. I’ve been brainstorming ideas on how to make that happen.
Sadly, it seems the Christian faith-based stories aren’t what’s most popular in the “world’s eyes!” I find that so sad and it makes my soul bone-weary and my heart heavy.
Now I am by NO means referring to arts and crafts mommy blogs self-help or that sort of thing.
I’m talking about explicit content sexual content etc…
what comes to mind when You Think About Blessings from God?
For me, first and foremost is the sacrifice Jesus endured. This, in my opinion, is the biggest unexpected blessing in life that you do not deserve sweet friend. This is one of life’s best lessons.
When you no longer have breath in your lungs and your heart STOP beating where will you spend eternity? How can you make a difference for eternity?
In my eyes, I’m just a nobody wanting to tell everybody about somebody…that is Jesus Christ. I want everyone to know how to become complete in Christ no matter their circumstances.
So I start this back-and-forth dialogue in my mind with God. How, can I do this? I want to write more but how am I gonna find the time to do more than I already am?
I work full-time and stay physically exhausted. Not to mention I do not want anything to take time away from putting God first in my life and then my family!
I’ve also realized that people want you to be able to solve a problem for them or offer a free incentive to get them to engage with you.
I want to offer freebies and do FREE prizes that our faith-based and gospel-centered to draw more people to read my content and learn about the hope and healing they can find through God’s grace!
Change Lives For The Better
Changing lives for the better is what I want to do but I’m not financially able to do more Lord. I want to be able to send Bibles to those who don’t have a copy of God’s word FREE but I don’t see how I can make this happen.
Do you see the problem in “My thinking” sweet friend? “I” could not see the way but that right there is where I messed up. Stunning clarity before my eyes and conviction within my heart!
I was talking to my husband Mike about how defeated I was feeling and he said: “Hunny, have faith that God’s got this all figured out and he will provide the way.”
Wow! I can not thank God enough for bringing the most thoughtful humble and loving man into my life. Isn’t it amazing how God shows you what only he can do and right on time don’t you?
God sends connections Your Way from other Christian bloggers
I started receiving connections from other Christian bloggers (not a coincidence) and got ideas from them that I can use on my website.
By the way, on this particular evening, Mike said God will provide the way (not a coincidence). Then, I received a much-unexpected blessing the following day.
I did not know how God was going to make this happen, but I immediately hugged the individual and said thank you so much. I was in tears as I looked toward Heaven and said Thank You, God! Forgive Me for ever doubting you had it all under control.
