Amazing Real Life Testimony: Can You Convert Pain Into Joy?

Real life as a believer is full of suffering and sudden pain. Every day, there is a new challenge and obstacle to overcome. You can be angry with yourself or others or you can control that inner pain and before it converts into anger, you can shift it into happiness or joy.

A Real Life Testimony: Can You Convert Pain Into Joy?

Guest post by Zeeva Usman: Her real life testimony and purpose in life.

What I learned from my pain is that you have two choices to make when you face pain or suffering. You can be angry with yourself or others or you can control that inner pain and before it converts into anger, you can shift it into happiness or joy.

But the internal process of converting pain into joy is so seamless that it is hard for many people to notice the real movement of pain being transformed into anger.

However, we see the opposite picture. Many Christians are unable to observe this pain shift whether in the form of happiness or anger.

Hard Pains Equal Big Blessings

You might have no idea how it feels when you are only five years old and your mother left you because she was suffering due to her relationship with her husband.

I know that hard pain. I am familiar with that feeling. I faced one of the biggest challenges of my life at the very beginning of my life. I was hurting, scared, fearful, helpless, and angry.

I had no idea what I should or could do.

After I moved through that pain, I learned that patience is the key, which can lead you toward the doors of peace and understanding of how God had allowed me to go through that hard pain.

Only after two years, when my parents decided to end this separation period because of their faith and biblical teachings, I found the purpose of that hard pain.

It was because God wanted to give me a strong heart, creative mind, and prayerful life from the beginning of my life.

On the other hand, God also wanted to teach a lesson to my parents that they both have to surrender to Him and His words before they could understand the art of converting those pains into joys or big blessings.

Suffering Is Your Purpose in Life

We all have painful experiences in the form of sickness, separation, failure, defeat, and sadness. Human minds are so complex and sometimes become uncontrollable that you can not control that small part of your body.

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 1 Peter 4:12

God already knows this, He also knows that believers are also human. Unless they are tested or put into temptation and go through suffering and pain, they are not going to understand the purpose of their lives.

Have a Relationship With Pain

It is your relationship with pain that triggers the feeling of being angry or courageous. You have to face that pain to understand what purpose it might serve in your life.

Believers in Christ do not explore this forest of pain and are easily distracted when they have landed in the jungle of suffering.

In my experience, I always keep myself ready to face any pain, even hard pain, and I am prepared to convert it into a big or bigger reward and blessing.

Understand the Process

As a believer, I now know why God allows every single pain in my life and the same is true of every single believer out there. The only difference is that very few understand the process of the pain permission granted by God in the lives of believers.

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4:16

The process of understanding depression and pain becomes even more important when you need God in your most vulnerable situation. Our mortal bodies are not perfect and on top of that, our bodies are creatures of habit.
