God knows what we are gonna ask for when we pray long before it enters our minds and forms from depths of our hearts then proceeds from our lips.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24
God Answers Prayers in 3 specific ways
- Not Now
No matter how God answers prayers, none of these ways is the right way or the wrong way, right?
God alone knows what, who, where, why, and when, we need a specific request met. It may be a time in our lives when God is growing our dependence on him and during those times he has a reason for each response.
I want to share one particular prayer that God has heard from me quite often
God answers prayers in an unexpected way
I have prayed the following prayer numerous times. God, will you please allow your Holy Spirit to use me to bring someone to come to know you as their personal Savior?
Don’t get me wrong it is extremely satisfying to know that I can make a difference in someone’s life in ANY way, shape, or form!
What I mean by that is planting seeds of faith by the life I live before others. If God ONLY wants to use me in that way then so be it. But my heart has longed for more!
I know God uses some individuals to plant the seeds and has others come along, to water and grow so to speak.
However, to actually walk someone through the steps of faith and repentance in Christ.
To witness the actual conversion from beginning to end? What a joy that would be right?
I have such a burden in my heart for the lost people of this dark cruel world. It would be amazing to teach people how God is our refuge and strength.
People think they have all the time in the world to make it right with God before they meet their maker. Y’all, we are NOT promised our next breath let alone tomorrow.
Don’t put off what needs to be done today. Today is the day for salvation, NOT tomorrow!
How God answers prayers when you least expect it
What a Good Good Father he is to me! I am so undeserving but I am also incredibly grateful for his everlasting kindness and unending love for me.
If you think God will NEVER use YOU in the way you have prayed for….keep fervently praying on my beloved friends! Why do you say this Angie? God Answered My Prayer! Glory to God! Thank You, Jesus!
HOW GOD ORCHESTRATED THIS ANSWERED PRAYER
It was on a late Sunday evening and my husband and I were lounging around the house resting up for the start of the next work week when my home telephone rings.
I looked over to see who was calling I was like YES I always look forward to any conversation with my best BFF.
As soon as she spoke I could tell she was troubled. Right away my heart was heavy. I literally felt the pain she was in. I am not joking. She and I are that close.
She begins to tell me she’s not been able to sleep and could not stop crying and had no idea why she was feeling this. Me being me was trying to get her to open up about what had her so upset.
Come to find out she was under heavy conviction from the Holy Spirit.
When she was able to speak her next words were “Angie, will you just witness to me?”
I cried right then and there because I was NOT expecting those words at all. To be honest I was stunned into silence at first.
I thought, “God, I have prayed and prayed for this opportunity and you practically laid it in my lap.”
WHY CAN I NOT FIND THE RIGHT WORDS NOW?
Here it was, I was being shown how God answers prayers, but I was feeling so inadequate at that moment. It was an unexpected blessing, to say the least.
I was thinking anyone else would be doing a better job than I was doing at that moment. After all, I have prayed and prayed for God to use me so I should have been well prepared.
I said, “Ok, I can NOT mess this up!” So I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to guide me through it and he NEVER disappoints.
My friend had received God for her salvation a long time ago and she was baptized but she stated she knew she wasn’t living life as a follower of Christ should be. She wasn’t sleeping well due to being under conviction.
I LOVE Billy Graham, and I knew he had a Sinner’s Prayer on his website so I looked it up. I had the Holy Chills the entire time then and even now as I type. She and I went through the Sinner’s Prayer and she told me she felt instant PEACE!
Peace is found when you receive God’s grace and forgiveness. Dying to self and receiving his righteousness. I told her that I already considered her more than my BEST FRIEND she’s like a sister to me.
Now I can call her my Best Friend and Sister in Christ. She made the best decision ever.
She told me the next day that night was the best sleep she’s had in FOREVER! I feel so blessed to have played a small part in that. Not from anything Angie did because I didn’t give her peace God did that.
I want to be real with you and be as blunt as possible. I’m saying this out of nothing but LOVE for you. When you start feeling that tug drawing you towards God….you will NOT find the rest you’re seeking until you surrender your heart and soul to God!
God will NOT stop running for you and there will be no hiding. Trust me I’ve been there myself. Oh, the Peace you feel when you finally surrender! You will wonder WHY it took you so long to do so.
