Learning to Replace Fear with Peace
Friends I hate to admit this but fear is something I struggle with!
I know I’m not supposed to.
We are supposed to cast all of our cares on God and yet I feel like I pick them back up again and again.
I know where the root of my fear comes from.
I was in an abusive marriage for almost fifteen years.
As hard as I try to get past the memories to this day I suffer side effects of that time and it doesn’t take much either.
You’d think I’d be long past this.
It’s a shame I still struggle with Fear since I have been away from it since 1999 wouldn’t you.
Conflict is something I separate myself from because it opens a flood gate of memories I’d rather keep locked up.
My hearing disability wreaks havoc on me.
I can’t hear when someone approaches me and my reaction is I flinch.
I don’t want fear to define me because that is not who I am in Christ.
What fears do you struggle with?
I can tell this much y’all I will definitely be referring back to this area again and again.
God knows my faults and shortcomings.
Yet God loves me just as I am faults and all.
