Now more than ever you must encourage words of hope. As born-again believers in Jesus Christ, you need to build one another up not tear one another down in the words you use. Every individual is facing all kinds of circumstances in their lives that you may know nothing about. When people on social media read your posts…may they reply…YOU INSPIRE ME
More often than not when posting on social media you see ONLY what others want you to see. Sadly things are typed that shouldn’t be in the first place. Plus it certainly doesn’t fall into the “Words of Hope” category!

What Are Encouraging words of Hope On Social Media?
Hope is the unswerving belief that better days are coming to live together in a world where we can ALL exist in Perfect Peace.
Not only this, but it’s important to remember there are “little eyes” that read your status updates. This is the reason to be mindful of what you post on social media!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
However, it is so difficult at times to have that kind of hope in today’s world, with all that surrounds you. Our country has way too much division between people. It leads to quarreling, name-calling, fighting, protesting, and the list can go on and on. I find it so incredibly sad.
The greatest commandment given by God states. I am positive what I’m about to say will make some not happy with me but I feel it needs to be addressed!
You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Mark 12
I’m going to put myself on the chopping block and be open and honest. I choose to use ALL my accounts to build people up not tear people down. Sadly, I see others more and more using theirs in a very negative way.
It breaks my heart! There is so much bashing, negativity, perversion, and foul language, that makes its way to my personal Facebook page.
What are Questionable Status Updates On Social Media?
Questionable posts are anything that involves rudeness, foul language, etc…As you are scrolling through various social media are you thinking to yourself!! Do you realize what are you saying, doing, and thinking?
Young children and teenagers are on everyone’s friend lists. They are reading every post before their eyes. In all honesty, if you are like me, your human mind cannot comprehend why anyone can see that as being appropriate.
What are these types of posts teaching our next generation to do and become? Everyone is entitled to have their own opinions and beliefs this is not what the reference I’m talking about.
Find A Way To Co-Exist
Just because someone else doesn’t agree with you don’t go throwing stones at them so to speak. I have seen more friendships disintegrate and more back-and-forth words being thrown or rather typed than ever before.
It has gotten so bad that I don’t even go on my page as much anymore. I have unfollowed many simply because I don’t want to see that rubbish in my news feed.
To put it another way, you can call me old fuddy-duddy if you want to. Lol!
All joking aside, can you remember the good old days when you were taught NOT to speak poorly of another person or their beliefs? I was raised in old school and was raised to show respect and kindness.

It’s to the point you want to verbally attack anyone if they disagree with you and how you view issues. What happened to the golden rule we old folks were taught back in the day?
You may have heard it.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I was also taught if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.

How do you think you can EVER make the world around you a better place if you are constantly looking for ways to be argumentative all the time? Satan feeds off people fussing and not getting along.
Satan is doing his job if he keeps discord and dismay between others. Satan wants you to NOT get along and encourage words of hope. Please open your eyes to this truth friends.
- Jesus is ALL about Love.
- Jesus is light whereas Satan is darkness.
- Negativity, ugliness, and darkness are NOT of God.
You must keep at the forefront of your mind that whether you realize it or not people ARE watching what you say, do, and type.
How to be Mindful of the words we use
Before you speak or type let your thoughts pass through the following three variables…IS IT?
- True?
- Necessary?
- Kind?
How to put Words of Hope into Practice
- Watch your thoughts; they become your words.
- Watch your words; they come to your action.
- Watch your actions; they become your habits.
- Watch your habits; they become your character.
- Watch your character; they become your destiny.
I am FAR from perfect and I don’t claim that I am and I will be the first to admit my faults to anyone.
Why is it important to watch the words you speak
ALL will stand before God one day. ALL be held accountable for ALL the words you say and the things you do. Let’s keep that in mind and be more positive, encouraging, and uplifting, with those you come in contact with.

You can trust God’s word and place your hope in Him for all things. Don’t take “Angie’s” words alone for this. Read God’s word on what does the bible say about hope? I realize you will not have perfection on this side of eternity. However, one day so very soon, you will live in unity. What a time that will be. I for one long for that homecoming!
