As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1 Peter 4:10).
I Love how this photo shows happiness, and having a childlike joy don’t you? The award-winning smile on her face is infectious. This is how we should approach others, when we share how God has changed us, from the inside out!
Friends, when you are having your alone time with God, do you pray and ask him to use you, as a tool to reach the lost, broken and hurting, people of this world? I’d love to think that this prayer is a common request, to all who have accepted Jesus Christ, as Lord and savior of their lives.
God has gifted ALL of us, in a number of ways, that we can be using, to bring Glory to his name.
Outlook from my past
When I was younger, I enjoyed singing and leading choir so much, for the simple reason, I knew it was changing the hearts of God’s people.
NOT because I proclaimed, to have been a professional, or anything of the sort, but for me, it was a form of worship, from ME to my KING, with the hope, that others would be moved to worship too.
Afterwards, when service was over, the congregation would seek me out, and proceed to share, how a particular song, would help them, in what they were going through.
Y’all, that’s what I call, a Holy Spirit moving moment….NOT an Angie thing!
Worship speaks to the hearts of God’s people. I was just a willing vessel, to be used by God, however he wanted to do so. I’m going to be completely honest. I miss that part of my life terribly. My hearing loss is so drastic now, they would probably pay, to remove me from the stage.
It was an honor to know, that I was making a difference, in their lives. Just knowing that I could help, bring someone joy, and to lift them out of a dark place of despair, even for just a moment, meant so much to me.
To see the sadness on their face melt away, replaced by peace and joy, was so rewarding!
Fast forward to present day
For so long I let the things I “use” to be able to do, tell me the things I can’t do today. I thought Ok God, the ONE THING I loved doing, has been taken from me, so now I can’t see myself, being used to help others anymore.
Beloved, God’s will for our lives, will come to pass. We may be prolonging it, due to a lack of trust, faith, or afraid of failing.
So I prayed this, “God, I want to be used by you again?” “I want YOU to use ME, to help people, in an even larger way.” “I want to show your LOVE in an even bigger way, to those around me, and all over the world.”
I started using my personal Facebook, to encourage others, through faith in Jesus Christ. In my news feed, I seen so much fighting, cursing, nudity, and negativity, etc….the list can go on and on. I wanted to show, how you can have positive, and encouraging things, and see what a difference it can make.
And that’s exactly what I did.
I was getting such great feedback. I started getting the sense, that God was calling me to do more. Ok, you’re gonna have to make it clear to me, what it is you would have me do Lord.
Ask God to reveal something, and he does exactly that
I had two friends on the EXACT same day say, “Angie, you should consider doing a blog? “You write thought-provoking content, that’s encouraging and inspiring, and will help so many people!” I said, “as a matter of fact, I prayed and asked God, to make it clear to me, if this was his will for me?”
Can you say Bullseye!!
When I started Resounding His Love, I had NO IDEA it would grow so much, and reach so many. God is Amazing!! I took something I used as a source of helping others, to become so much more.
It’s a ministry
Not ONLY that, but where I work at, is another form of ministry. I get to help those who are deathly sick, due to hematology and oncology related health issues. Plus, I get to decorate my lab area however I want.
Can you guess what I have it centered on? If you said God related material, you’d be one hundred percent correct.
See friends. I am blessed to use my “work time” and my “personal time” as a ministry to demonstrate God’s love, by encouraging others in Christ Jesus.
IT”S A WIN WIN!!
Now it’s your turn:
Do you use your life, to reach others for God’s glory?
For me, I thought if I wasn’t able, to be on stage anymore, and uplift others in music, I’d NEVER be used by God again, to be a blessing to people. Maybe like me, you can’t imagine, that you could be a blessing, to someone else as well.
You can take, whatever your good at and enjoy, and turn that into a way, of opening a discussion, about your love for God, and how he’s changed, your life for the better. It can be in any number of ways, with friends, family, and can you say a stranger….GASP!
I’m listing a few below:
- Lunch or shopping
- Door Knocking
- Work out at gym
- School pickup
- Visiting jails
- School activity
- Craft shows
- Nail salon
- Beauty salon
- Favorite hobby
Sad thing is this:
We’re given MANY opportunities. We simply let them pass us by. I’m guilty of this too.
Friends, we’re ONLY given ONE shot at life. May we find ways, to reach out, to help those, who desperately need to know, there is a God, who longs to show them, his goodness! He’s a God who desperately wants to help them, in ANY and EVERY way imaginable!
It can also be someone you know, who’s a believer, but they’re having a hard time, and difficult season, and needs someone, to be there for them, and let them know we care. YOU and I must do OUR part, and use the life, we’ve been given, by God, to share his unconditional, and unfailing love for them.
Living a Christian life is pure Joy. I Love this video by MercyMe. It’s showing others, how God has changed you. A Christian life is a fun-filled life, not a boring one! Proclaim it and shout it from the rooftops! The Afters song is what this post is all about. We are here for the sole purpose, of giving glory and honor to God, and share freedom is found in him!
Your Sister in Christ
Hey Friends. Thank you for taking time out of your day, to spend a few moments in mine. As a follower of Jesus Christ, it’s important to me to share the gospel with you. I write about my ups and downs, my struggles and insecurities, but above all else, I share how God brings me through it all. Let’s continue our walk with Christ together.
